At just 16'-9 long, A-B-C's new Pro Forma 450 case erector / sealer occupies a small footprint on the production floor. Yet this powerful machine is a production giant, easily achieving 50 cases per minute shift after shift. The heavy gauge reinforced steel frame offers maximum strength and durability. A substantial three horsepower drive motor powers the continuous motion main drive. A-B-C's unique soft start-soft stop motors ensure smooth operation and minimize machine wear. The Model 450 is complete with features to ensure continuous production regardless of the quality of corrugated it runs.
Floating case grippers operate independently to ensure reliable knock down case feed from uneven or band-marked stacks.
Cases are opened by dual gripper assemblies that flatten each case as it is gripped for opening, to compensate for warped or misshapen cases. The walking beam case drive squares each case during transfer, and the mechanical compression mandrel incorporates squaring lugs to ensure properly shaped cases during sealing. The 450 is equipped with A-B-C Intelligent Control- PLC electronics with network capability and touchscreen information/control/diagnostic center as standard equipment in the base price of the machine. Changeover is easy with rapid adjust hand cranks and simple selections on the touchscreen control panel.
